In this edition's New Technology Review, we have two products designed to make remote working safer.
The first is XP Unlimited. This allows multiple users to access the same server or workstation simultaneously and is ideally suited to companies who use a Windows server and have a limited number of remote users. It is both cheaper and more secure than the traditional Microsoft solution, known as Terminal Server.

The second solution is Direct Push. In a previous ITInsight New Technology Review, we spoke about our solution for Mdaemon users to synchronise diaries with Blackberrys, rather than having to use a Blackberry Enterprise Server.
There is also a similar solution for Windows mobile users in the form of Direct Push. It comes with Microsoft Exchange Server and provides automatic updates on mail and calendar entries for PDAs.
